On September 28, the 19th China (Dongying) International Petroleum and Petrochemical Equipment and Technology Exhibition opened at the Dongying Yellow River International Convention and Exhibition Center. With the theme “Digital and Intelligent Oil & Gas, Linking the World,” the exhibition gathered more than 300 key enterprises across the industrial chain and attracted tens of thousands of industry experts, buyers, and technical personnel to discuss the green transformation of the oil and gas industry and the collaborative development of global industrial chains.

As a leading domestic enterprise in deepwater subsea oil and gas equipment, WEFIC presented its core technological achievements and integrated solutions, comprehensively demonstrating its comprehensive strength across the full industrial chain—from R&D and manufacturing of deepwater subsea oil and gas equipment to EPC and O&M services. During the exhibition, the WEFIC team precisely aligned development needs with industry customers and partners around the technical advantages of its core equipment.

The model displayed on site is China’s first set of subsea production equipment jointly developed by WEFIC and CNOOC, which was successfully commissioned and applied in the Bohai Oilfield in October 2022. As the first domestic enterprise to achieve engineering application, we have successfully broken through industry bottleneck technologies, ended foreign monopolies, and filled domestic technological gaps. The equipment has a localization rate of over 90%, and its overall cost is more than 50% lower than that of imported equipment; its modular design is more compact, efficient, and reliable.

The exhibition focused on the offshore platform wellhead product series, covering high-end integral wellheads and the MMW-I modular wellhead system. The modular design supports various layouts such as single-conductor dual-well and single-conductor triple-well, and adapts to well construction at different water depths and zonal production of multi-layer oil and gas reservoirs. Compared with the traditional single-well mode, it can save more than 20% of operating costs and has significant advantages in space-constrained land platforms and offshore oilfield scenarios. The equipment height is reduced by 30% and installation efficiency is improved by 50%, making it highly suitable for the cramped spaces of offshore platforms and complex land conditions. At present, the series products have been applied in more than 2,500 sets globally, with a market share of over 80% in Southeast Asia, fully validating WEFIC's product performance and overseas reputation.
The mudline suspension system on display as a physical exhibit is key supporting equipment for deepwater drilling and completion. It can achieve string load bearing and annular sealing at the seabed mudline, building a solid safety defense line for deepwater operations.

Having been deeply engaged in the offshore oil and gas field for many years, WEFIC has always focused on tackling bottleneck technologies in deepsea equipment, achieving independent R&D and localized manufacturing of multiple core equipment and filling technological gaps in China and abroad. In the future, WEFIC will further deepen domestic and international exchanges and cooperation, continuously improve full-industrial-chain solutions, and lead a new era of the subsea industry with excellent integrated engineering capabilities and an innovation system.
